I don't know too much about my grandparents who live in New Mexico. But here is what I DO know.

- my grandpa was in the Navy during WW2 and is 10 years older than my grandma

- my grandma got all her teeth kicked out by a horse (or mule OR donkey) when she was about 16

- my grandpa is really good at tennis. I think he still plays even though he's like 80 something

- my grandma makes sweet grandmotherly quilts

- and BEST OF ALLLLLL: they both like to eat Raisin Nut Bran however my grandma doesn't like the nut covered raisins so she picks them out of her bowl and gives them to hubby. AND my grandpa doesn't like the almonds so he picks them out and gives them to the lady. Isn't that the cutest? I think it would make a great commercial for the cereal...or for family love.

Thanksgiving & Fall

I haven't been very good about updating this blog...however I am determined to do better. The first step is posting any old pictures of Mike and I. So here they are.

Mike's dad (Gary), Uncle Greg, him, me, brother (Derek) and Charlotte. We drove forEVER on a dirt road and finally found a mine (although we will never know if it is the one we set out looking for).

Catalina

On Monday Mike and I went with his friend, Fred, to Catalina. Fred's father-in-law owns the plane pictured and he was so generous to let us use it.

We took off from Chino at about 9:00, the morning haze is still lingering in the hills.

The view from above the Pacific was incredible.

Fred let Mike fly the whole time! Luckily he had been practicing right seat so he was able to land and everything.

I love how the sunlight reflecting on the wing shows all its details.

Snow

It finally snowed last week! Here is a picture I took of the snow on the ground in front of our apartment. That's about as white as it got, and it melted an hour later.
